Who runs Wordoids
Wordoids is run by Vinko Vrsalovic (tax ID 10238374P), Madrid, Spain. Write to el+wordoids@vinko.cl about the game or about your data.
No account, no cookies
You don't sign up, and Wordoids sets no cookies. Your browser keeps your settings on your device: the name you type, your avatar colour, theme, language, sound and music settings, your Daily Puzzle results and streak, how fast Quick Play's bots play against you, the letter you last chose for scrambling to start at, and whether you've seen the help. None of it is sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.
Playing with others
A multiplayer game runs in its host's browser, not on a game server.
- Connecting. To find each other, browsers use our connection server, hosted by Koyeb. While you're connected it sees your IP address and a random connection id. It keeps no game data.
- Playing. Players then connect directly (WebRTC), so the other players' browsers can see your IP address, as yours can see theirs. Your name and avatar colour are shown to the players at your table, and your guesses go to the host's browser, which runs the round.
- Relay. When a direct connection isn't possible, the game's traffic goes through a relay run by Xirsys. It sees the IP addresses involved; the traffic itself is encrypted.
This website
Hosting. Cloudflare delivers this website. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to send you the pages and to protect the site from abuse, for which it may set a security cookie.
Analytics. We count visits and game events (such as a round starting or a result being shared) with Umami, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Events carry no names, room codes or other identifiers, and pages are counted without the part of their address that holds a room code. Umami uses your IP address only to tell visits apart and estimate your country, and doesn't store it. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is counted.
Ko-fi. The “Support on Ko-fi” link takes you to Ko-fi, whose own privacy policy applies there.
Why, and your rights
We handle this data to run the game you choose to play (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) and, to protect the site and improve the game, in our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict its use or to stop using it, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

No hace falta registrarse, y Wordoids no usa cookies.
Si tu navegador envía «No rastrear» (Do Not Track), no se cuenta nada.
Ko-fi.
